Does The Roof Need Some Love This Valentine's Day Too?

Valentine's Day is the perfect time to show your sweetheart how much you love them through a big gesture.

Why not try something a little outside the box, like a romantic rooftop serenade (a classic romantic gesture they'll surely appreciate) or some rooftop stargazing?

While you are up there, ask yourself "does the roof need some love this Valentine's Day too?"

Warning Signs That The Roof Needs Attention:

Even if regular maintenance has been done on the roof, there are some warning signs that you should look for so you know when the roof needs attention:

- Are there any sagging areas? A sagging roof indicates that there is damage and that the roof is likely rotting and giving way.

- Any visual bubbling or blistering areas? This can be the result of moisture trapped in the foundation of the roofing and the blistering/ bubbling is the roofing decomposing.

- Do you see water spots on the exterior walls? The step flashing where the roof meets a wall is loose, rusted, or otherwise damaged.

AMAYA Roofing & Waterproofing and The National Roofing Contractors Association recommend a roof inspection twice a year, in the spring and fall.
